7-25-10 | Congratulations Chris and Carolyn!!

We would like to take this time to congratualte Chris and Carolyn Badami on the birth of their daughter Claire.  Claire was born 6 weeks early and we are happy to report she is officially home from the hospital and doing well!!!! We wish you guys the best of luck and congratulations again!  We cant wait for her to start making records!!!!!!

2-10-10 | 15 Years Of Production and Recording Excellence (an update from Chris)

Hello all!  It's been a while since I personally wrote an update on the site here.  I hope everyone had a great holiday and a happy and safe new year!  This year is a landmark year for Portrait Recording Studios.  This year marks our 15 year anniversary!  I can't believe it!  It's been such an amazing ride for myself and the studio over the past fifteen years.  I started this studio in 1995 in my parents garage with the intention of using it as my own personal studio to record demos for my band.  It went from that, to producing friends bands, to producing friends of their friends bands, to projects for indie labels, to projects for major labels.  Fifteen years and now in our third facility in Pompton Plains, Portrait Recording Studios has grown into one of the most amazing and major commerical facilities on the east coast!  I look back now and it feels like yesterday that we started.  Now in 2010, depsite a very unstable music industry, Portrait Recording Studios stands tall!   We owe this to all my dedicated clients over the past fifteen years.  I would like to take this time to personally thank all of of them for their love, support, dedication and amazing music I've been a part of over the years.  Without all of you, this wouldn't be possible.

So 2010 is here and we are entering a new decade of music.  I couldn't be more humbled moving forward from here.  The new Portrait is amazing and I'll have some new suprises to announce as our anniversary year moves forward!  So stay tuned!  If you have not had a chance yet, check out the new pictures of the facility in our photos section.  With now two studios under one roof, we have a ton of amazing options for projects on any level.  I encourage everyone to check out the place and contact us for the latest specials and packages we are running.  Once again, a big thanks to everyone for all their dedication and support over the years!  I look forward to our future and making more great records for you!

10-14-09 | New Myspace Layout and Fall Specials!

6-05-09 | Website, New B Room and Summer Packages Now Available

Sorry for the lack of updates.  We have been having website issues for months here and we are finally getting it all ironed out.  As always, we are busy and that is a great thing in this climate.

The first batch of news is you will soon be seeing some new pages to our site soon.  We will now have a specific studio A and B room page for you to check out.  The BIG news is that we are finally all under one roof now!  Studio B has officially been relocated to our new facility in Pompton Plains making it not only one of the sweetest rooms to do your next project but also one of the most economical/budget conscious rooms in a professional studio.  Studio B utilizes our studio A live room, which allows access to our amazing drum room as well as our concert grand piano and just killer natural acoustics!  Time is filling up in the new room and to celebrate we are offering some amazing packages for the summer.  Contact us for more info and booking.
